Booking Information
All the rooms are doubles or twins and there are also several family suites.
The rates vary according to the time of week and year, the size of the room, and the location.
A single rate is offered during the week on most of the rooms. For further details please contact us. Rates include VAT and a continental buffet breakfast.
All bedrooms are en suite and non-smoking, with minibar, telephone, colour TV, tea and coffee making facilities.
Check-in from 2pm unless by prior arrangement, check-out 11:00am (11:30am on Sundays and Bank Holidays).
Limited private parking nearby is usually available when reserved in advance at £10.00 per night. This parking is available for hotel guests use only.
The Hotel Restaurant is no longer open for lunch and dinner. Reception will be happy to make reservations for you at one of the many restaurants within easy walking distance or a taxi ride from Bath Place.
We accept all major credit cards excepting American Express. Payment by cheque must be supported by a cheque guarantee card, and only Sterling Travellers cheques are accepted. Please see below for booking conditions.

Booking and Cancellation Policies
BOOKING PROCEDURES
BOOKINGS OF 1 - 2 Rooms
To reserve one or two rooms full details of a visa or master card must be supplied to guarantee the booking (see details below) following which a confirmation will be sent.
GROUP AND BLOCK BOOKING
GROUP BOOKINGS 3 – 8 ROOMS
To reserve three or more rooms a non-refundable deposit of £50.00 per room per night or 50% if greater, must be paid no later than eight weeks before the arrival date or within four weeks of the initial enquiry if this is more than eight weeks.
BLOCK BOOKINGS 9 – 16 ROOMS
To reserve nine or more rooms a non-refundable deposit of £50.00 per room per night or 50% if greater, must be paid no later than twelve weeks before the arrival date or within four weeks of the initial enquiry if this is more than twelve weeks. A minimum of three night stays are required for all weekend block bookings during the period covered by the summer tariff. In the event of only two nights being required if the third night can be re let the charge for the third night will be refunded.
Rooms booked for groups and block bookings will only be held without a deposit for a maximum of four weeks from the date of the initial enquiry; at which point rooms will be released for resale if the deposit has not been paid within the timeframe.
The balance of all group and block booking reservations must be paid four weeks prior to the arrival date and is non-refundable unless the rooms can be re-let.
CARD GUARANTEE & OTHER PAYMENT DETAILS
Bookings of 1 – 2 rooms
Eight days prior to the arrival date the card supplied to guarantee the booking will be
*pre-authorised for the full amount of the stay. If the card does not authorise the Hotel will inform the client immediately by email or telephone to request details of an alternative card which must be supplied within twenty four hours. If an alternative card is not supplied and pre-authorisation cannot be obtained the Hotel reserves the right to cancel the booking immediately.
*Pre-authorisation is a process which enables the issuing card company to reserve the full amount of the booking on behalf of the Hotel, eight days prior to arrival thereby guaranteeing the booking. The process can be reversed in case of cancellation, subject to the hotel’s policies or in case of an alternative method of payment at the time of departure. Should a card is not be available to guarantee the booking a deposit payment of £50 per room per night or 50% whichever the greater, can be made by bank transfer (bank details on request). Bank transfers must be received in the hotel account no later than ten days prior to the arrival date. Upon receipt of the deposit the booking will then be confirmed. The Hotel reserves the right to cancel a booking if payment is not received within this time- frame.
DISCOUNTED BOOKINGS
If following confirmation, the number of discounted rooms or nights booked is reduced the discounted rate will no longer apply and the rate according to the current tariff will be charged.
THIRD PARTY BOOKINGS
When accommodation is reserved by a third party, all the cancellation charges automatically become the responsibility of the third party.
ACCOUNT PAYMENTS
Bookings for payment on account will not be confirmed until the hotel has received, acceptance of liability of full payment due, and or cancellation charges if applicable, of all the accommodation reserved by the third party/company. Accounts must be settled within seven days of date of invoice for one to two rooms booked. For Group and Block Booking payments see details above.
CANCELLATION POLICIES
CANCELLATIONS TWO DAYS prior to arrival
Cancellations made after 7am GMT or BST, two days before the arrival date, will incur full charges. Reservations of more than two night stays will be charged in full for the first two nights and all subsequent nights (to a maximum of five nights) will be charged a cancellation fee of £50 per room per night or 50% of the nightly rate per room per night, whichever the greater.
CANCELLATIONS SEVEN DAYS prior to arrival
Cancellations made within seven days of the arrival date will be charged a cancellation fee of £50 per room per night or 50% of the nightly rate per room per night, whichever the greater, for all of the nights booked up to a maximum of seven nights.
CANCELLATION (1-2 ROOMS) eight or more days prior to arrival incur no charge
CANCELLATION OF GROUP AND BLOCK BOOKINGS

Please contact us immediately if you need to alter your booking in any way as failure to do so will be deemed as acceptance of the booking as set out on the confirmation sheet and the above conditions. All amendments or cancellations must be made in writing. Cancelling by telephone alone will not suffice and unless confirmed in writing charges could be due subject to the above policies.
We respectfully remind guests that a reservation made verbally or in writing constitutes a legal contract between themselves and Bath Place Hotel and our booking and cancellation policies will be strictly enforced.
WEB BOOKINGS
Bookings made via the website “Book On Line” facility are slightly higher than bookings made directly with the hotel by email or telephone.
